'MUHEEM' is an non-governmental organization based in Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), India. MUHEEM stands for Multidimensional Upliftment, Humanistic Evaluation and Empowerment of Marginalized. It works to advance the rights of women, girls and youth.

Muheem believes ‘when a women get employed then she not only earn the money but she earned self confidence.’ In this way during the time of pandemic Muheem has designed a skill based education programme ‘Sui Dhaga’ (it’s a Hindi term which means ‘Needle and Thread’) for rural women and girls to fight back the economic crisis. People associate menstruation with impurity, bad blood, and disgust, which is why women feel discomfort, and embarrassed to talk about periods.
To eliminate the confusion and embarrassment linked with periods, an organisation in Varanasi, Muheem, Ek Sarthak Prayas, was founded in March 2017.
